Music is a key component of life. We believe that all children are musical and can achieve musical competence.

Our specialist music teachers strive to help every child reach their musical potential.

We feel that it is very important to develop musical skills, attitudes and attributes as they can enrich learning in other subjects, and are vital for future employment and life.

Music is best taught aurally and we try to limit the amount of writing involved. Active participation is encouraged in this subject.

Children are encouraged to learn to play a musical instrument of their choice. We work very closely with Royal School of Music qualified teachers, who help to prepare our pupils for ABRSM external exams.
